Amazon Mandy - Belldandy

Earlier this year, I got to help a friend out with a costume in return for some help on my own project. Sewing is my strong suit, props not so much... so it was awesome to get help from the best around!

Anyways, on to the pictures. Here is Amazon Mandy as evil Belldandy, looking absolutely stunning:

Cosmic Journey

Long time no see, friends. How have you been? I would like to say I've been travelling the cosmos, I've been so inspired by space! I partially blame Kamen Rider Fourze (it's sooo good!) but I've always been obsessed. So here is a round-up of my top 10 right now, not in any order:

1. Black Milk - galaxy blue leggings
2. Jeffrey Campbell - Glitter Lita
3. Jeffrey Campbell - Cosmic Lita
4. Etsy - cloud city top
5. Etsy - handmade galaxy shorts
6. Etsy - titanium quartz ring
7. Etsy - silver dipped quartz necklace
8. Christopher Kane - resort 2011 collection
9. Orly - "Dazzle" nail polish
10. Klaxons - Surfing the Void (though Myths of the Near Future is just as excellent)

...guess how many of these I splurged on? eeeep.

Accidentally wandering through a movie.

My friend and I went to get lunch at GoGo Curry today and we had to get out of the way of the movie being filmed in front of our favorite lunch spot! Some of the crew came into GoGo and removed all the posters with the year on them and asked them to turn down their speakers :/
All I had was my phone on me, so here are a bunch of not-so-great photos of Imogen Poots and Penn Badgley on the set of Greetings from Tim Buckley, a movie about Jeff Buckley. Click pics for hi-res.

Fashion's Night Out 2011

Last night, my friends and I traipsed about the city for Fashion's Night Out. We started off heading to Saks since things were going on on every floor. It was pretty interesting and they really put a lot of effort in, I loved some of the DJs a lot! Our next stop was the Ace hotel for a carnival style presentation for Opening Ceremony and Rodarte... although we never made it inside, we still had fun playing the carnival games outside and enjoying amazing gourmet street food. After that, we made our way to Soho and popped in the Betsey Johnson store. Crowded, but cute! Soho itself was very VERY crowded and littered with trash and police doing their best to keep the crowds out of the way of cars... trying to get home was like making my way through a mosh pit. Anyways, still an eventful evening overall and I took lots of photos! Take a look:
